  • Card details (tokenized, never stored in full by StarTrip)

  • Wallet balances and transaction histories

  • Billing and payout details for drivers

 

 

1.3 Location & Trip Data:

 

  • GPS location for pickup, trip routing, and drop-off

  • Route details, timestamps, and trip history

 

 

1.4 Device & Technical Data:

 

  • IP address, device type, operating system, crash logs, usage analytics

 

 

1.5 Feedback & Communication:

 

  • Ratings, reviews, and support communications between drivers, riders, and StarTrip

 

 

 

 

2. How We Use Your Information

 

 

Your data may be used for:

 

  • Enabling ride-hailing functionality (matching riders with drivers, navigation, trip support)

  • Processing payments and driver payouts

  • Safety, security, and fraud-prevention purposes

  • Customer support and dispute resolution

  • Compliance with tax, regulatory, and legal obligations (including GDPR, CCPA, and applicable Pacific or UAE data laws)

  • Product development, analytics, and service improvements

Consent: By creating an account or using the Services, you expressly consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Policy. Withdrawal of consent may result in limited functionality or termination of access to the Services.

  • To Drivers/Riders: Limited sharing of names, contact information (masked where possible), and trip details to complete rides.

  • To Third-Party Providers: Payment processors, mapping, cloud hosting, and analytics platforms.

  • For Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets.

 

 

We will never sell personal information to third parties for profit.

Our Services are not directed to persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If such information is discovered, it will be deleted promptly.

 

 

 

9. Limitation of Liability

 

 

StarTrip disclaims liability for:

 

  • Unauthorized access to or misuse of your data beyond our reasonable control

  • Actions or omissions of drivers, riders, or third-party providers

  • Damages arising from use of the Services where we have implemented reasonable safeguards

 

 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability relating to your personal data shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to use the Services in the 12 months preceding the claim.

 

No Warranties: The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.

 

Force Majeure: StarTrip shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, telecommunications failures, power outages, or government restrictions.

 

Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StarTrip, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Services, violation of this Policy, or infringement of third-party rights.

 

 

 

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

 

 

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed under the laws of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising from or relating to this Policy shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, except where otherwise required by law.

 

Severability: If any provision of this Policy is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

 

Survival: Sections relating to limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution shall survive termination of your use of the Services.

 

 

 

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

 

 

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting within the Services. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
